IPL 2010 has started yesterday, I must say this time it got better response from audience, and sponsors, IPL is always been considered as high profile cricketing game because lot of money is being involved along with top celebrities. This IPL season is special because it’s back in India.
The first match of the tournament was between IPL 2009 champions Deccan Chargers vs. Kolkalta Knight Riders. KKR was the last in the IPL point table in 2009 and have opportunity to prove their potentials. The match was close with full on entertainment and got huge response from the viewers despite of received few threats of terror attack.The KKR tigers come on to bat on the ground with positive energy to score at least 140runs in twenty over. The opening pair didn’t do well and back soon to pavilion. But the middle ordered owasis shah and Mathew handled it very well they made strong partnership and put valuable score on the board for DC of 161 runs with a loss of 5 wickets.
The totals looks good on this pitch, specially for DC team because they got hard hitter and classy bats man such as Adam gilchrist, Laxman, Symonds, Gibbs so very strong batting line up and target look achievable in 15overs. The initial partnership between Gilchrist and Laxman was crucial, both were in good touch but loose the wicket and allow opponents to build pressures on other batsman, the rest of the batsman got out quickly and loose the match by 11 runs.
